From an acoustics perspective, we undertake baseline noise surveys and detailed impact assessments for a wide range of renewable technologies, including wind turbines, battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar farms, energy centres, as well as associated plant and infrastructure. We assess potential impacts on nearby residential and sensitive receptors and provide clear, robust assessments in accordance with relevant guidance and planning policy. Where required, we work with the project team to develop practical mitigation measures and operational strategies to ensure compliance with appropriate noise limits.
Air quality can also be an important consideration for certain renewable energy schemes, particularly where developments include combustion plant such as energy centres, combined heat and power (CHP) units, standby generators, or biomass boilers. We carry out detailed air quality assessments and dispersion modelling where required, helping to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements and identify appropriate mitigation where necessary.
Our aim is to support renewable energy developers in delivering sustainable projects while effectively managing environmental constraints. By working closely with developers, planners, and design teams, we help minimise risk, avoid delays, and support successful planning outcomes. We also provide post-installation noise surveys, compliance testing, and ongoing support where required, ensuring developments meet their operational and planning obligations.
